password forgotten on Packard Bell BU

Hello, I have a big problem with the BIOS of my PACKARD BELL BU-45 p75 computer.

The issue is that I have forgotten my BIOS password and I don't know what to do to resolve the problem. I tried using a software called "CMOSPWD" but it didn’t work. I also wanted to open the case, but it's too complicated and especially too risky. So if someone knows of a software that works with Packard Bell laptops or any documents that would help me open the case and properly LOCATE the motherboard, as well as the jumpers that need to be moved, that would be really helpful.

One last note, it's been 4 months since I forgot the BIOS password and I'm still using my computer normally; the only problem is that at startup I have to press escape 3 times to bypass the BIOS password request, and then once I'm on the Windows desktop I have to set the date and time to use internet services. I can format, boot from a CD, update the BIOS (which I have already done).

THANK YOU IN ADVANCE.

Hello, to recover your password when opening your Packard Bell computer, you need to update it. Wait for the update and your password will be displayed on the screen at the end of the program.

I have the same problem as you.
I have the same laptop, too.
And I've also lost my BIOS password 206 and I still don't know how I should find the battery in question!

Yes, but as I explained, it's quite complicated for me, especially since I haven't found any documents or disassembly plans to open the laptop case and properly locate the items to move.
Thank you for the reply.

IT'S SIMPLE, YOU KNOW, WHEN YOU WERE VERY YOUNG YOU LEARNED TO TAKE APART YOUR TOYS, AND WELL, IT'S THE SAME THING. ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS TAKE APART YOUR PC WITH A SCREWDRIVER AND YOU'RE DONE. ONCE OPENED, LOOK, THERE'S A METALLIC WHITE OBJECT THAT LOOKS LIKE A WATCH BATTERY, REMOVE IT AND REPLACE IT, THAT'S IT.

On this link http://www.commentcamarche.net/faq/sujet 587 lost password reset the bios they clearly explain how to do it, but there are still a lot of things to move. And since I've never opened a laptop before, it's too risky. So I'm waiting to find some documentation.

Hello, I have the same problem except that I managed to take apart my computer, remove the battery for several hours, put it back, turn on my PC, and the BIOS password is still there. I have a Packard Bell Easynote TJ65.
I will soon try to remove the battery for a week to see, you never know...

You're welcome, but I think it's just about how to press the BIOS reset button. Sorry, I hope you find another way.

Hello,
there is still no one who has information on where to find the parts to replace in the PACKARD BELL BU computers. I have tried to find information on my motherboard and on the internet as well as on the manufacturer's website and I found nothing.

As we told you, you remove your battery once, you turn on your computer (it won't start), you put your battery back in and that's it, all good as new.
