Hello, I have recovered a fan with 3 wires. The three wires are red for 12V, black for 0V, but I have a yellow one and I'm wondering what it's for. Thank you for your replies.

You must have one or more connectors on the motherboard with 3 pins... you can only plug it in one way! Usually, next to it, it says "FAN..."

There is nothing written, but on the probe's wire, do I get a voltage or can I connect a potentiometer to it to vary the speed???

black is not the 0V (?) but the - , the ground!
the third one is a probe

The 3-pin fan connectors are designed to be connected to 3-pin connectors on the motherboard. That's all...
