unlock Word Office selection Solved/Closed

Question

Hello everyone. I bought an HP Pavilion Premium Family PC at the end of November 2007. Not needing the files I had made, I foolishly let the trial period for my Word expire. When I recently tried to use it, I saw at the bottom left of my page: "Selection is locked, you cannot access your data". So, before buying a paid version, I took a free 60-day trial offer: (Office Home Student 2007 from Microsoft). The installation went very smoothly, as did the conversion, with the final message: "Conversion successful". However, I still cannot access my data. Oh, I should mention that I am a 76-year-old beginner. I tried Microsoft support, but they redirect you to so many pages that I get lost (I don’t have a degree like that and it’s far from me) on their site, it seems you need at least that. Just to clarify: my model is A6202.fr. If a kind soul can help me, I would be very grateful and thank them in advance. You can reply to me by email or on the site (whichever works).

Hello,Does that mean we could install a trial version as many times as we want? ... And therefore, never need to buy Office???I think it's underestimating the MS developers!!! :D)))m@rina

I have an issue with Word. Just so you know, I'm on Vista.

The cursor on my mouse no longer activates text selection. I can't highlight the desired text.

I've been searching and searching, but I still can't find anything!!!

The menu bar + the toolbar are disabled and they ask me to enter the product key when I try to use Word: PowerPoint. When I type in Word, it says the selection is locked.

On new computers, there are certain programs (shareware) that are accessible temporarily (30 days or more), after the trial period, you need to contact the manufacturer to purchase the license key, otherwise the program will be blocked..

For Microsoft Office, you need to visit the Crosoft website... https://www.microsoft.com/fr-fr/microsoft-365?legRedir=default&CorrelationId=3a2695c0-3fd7-4149-96c8-79a97dfdabd7

But you can advantageously replace Microsoft Office with OpenOffice.Org which is fully compatible with Word, Excel files, and moreover is free, which is a bonus.
It's very hard to catch a black cat in a dark room
