Office package transfer from one PC to another Solved

Question

Hello,  I’m considering buying a laptop in a few weeks.  I assume it will have Windows 10, which I currently have.  Additionally, I purchased (I do mean purchased, it’s not a subscription) the MICROSOFT OFFICE HOME AND STUDENT 2013 pack. I have the registration key, but it is installed on my old trusty PC. I know that we are not allowed to use it on 2 PCs, so when I get the new one, how do I activate it on the new device without any issues?  I’m considering buying Outlook separately (since I still have an old 2003 version since the new 2013 PACK I purchased did not include Outlook)… But I think I will be offered the purchase of the “latest version” of Outlook. Is it okay if I have my Office 2013 pack installed simultaneously? (I assume no, since my Outlook 2003 currently works well with the 2013 pack at the same time).  I have another question regarding data transfer to the new PC, but I think I need to ask it in another part of the forum… to be continued…  Thank you!    Configuration: Windows 10 - PC

No, after various searches, I just found a reassuring answer since MICROSOFT has changed its mind and transfers are now possible! Phew!!! See the link below. Hello,  To be confirmed, but I believe we can install the Office PACK twice for the same client.  Otherwise, it's important to note the activation key... then uninstall the Office pack from the old PC... and then reinstall it on the new PC with the key...  But my word is not that of Microsoft...

Thank you for your help, but the problem is that I am not sure if I just need to uninstall it because there must be a record of the process "somewhere." I followed a proper procedure with an activation key when I installed it, so it’s very secure.  I really don’t think we can do two installations for a purchase case when we are not in a "professional" context.  If I can find a Microsoft contact who speaks French, it would be very helpful when the time comes.

It's true that it's a legal issue... it's no longer really about technical skills. Anyway, in front of a court (if it comes to that), our word counts for nothing.  -- For professional use, I understand the fear of Microsoft's wrath and its private enforcement... But for an individual, I don't think Microsoft really cares about that, it has bigger fish to fry and that's not enough...
