Hello,
My name is Guillaume.
Since you all seem to have a thorough knowledge of computers, I’m allowing myself to write to you.
I'm having a problem with the game Championship Manager 2001 2002; I can't launch it, maybe you can help me. I've tried on 2 different PCs with Windows XP and the problem is always there:
I can't start the game. The installation keeps restarting. The installation seems correct until a message offers a shortcut on the desktop, then a panel indicates that the installation is completed and where you can check the boxes to read the READ ME file and install DirectX.
After checking both options, I click on finish and I get a message
"Make sure you have installed Service Pack 3" on your computer as Championship Manager 01-02 requires DirectX".
From there, when I try to launch the game, I get a message saying that CM 01-02 encountered a problem and needs to close. (the message with a proposal to send an error report to Microsoft).
Can you tell me what "Service Pack 3" is?

Hi guys, I had the same problem as you but I managed to solve it!!!!
Actually, right-click on the icon of your game, then Properties, then the Compatibility tab and run it in Windows 98 mode and it should normally work!!!!

Maybe the service pack 3 of XP that you get with Windows Update.
Don't install it if you don't have a genuine version of Windows =') -

I would like to reinstall Championship Manager 2001-2002 (the best one of all, in my opinion), a die-hard fan of this football management game series! Just feeling nostalgic! But surprise, during my installation (on Windows XP), an error occurred.
Here is the message that appeared:
"An error occurred while the computer was calculating the movements: -106
document: quick starts/frenchleague quick starts
file group: qs FRA
file: FRA.qst
Help me, I would like to relive the football past, and I know nothing about computers, thank you. -
