Is it a good tip for fixing screen scratches?

Good evening
Following a question posed on the forum, I tested a cheap method for screen restoration.
I used toothpaste on my LG Viewty screen to erase scratches.
I applied it dry with my finger and then rubbed it like crazy!
I then rinsed it with my slightly damp finger and dried it with a pure cotton cloth to avoid scratching.
Magic!!!! My LG Viewty is resurrected!!!!

Toothpastes contain abrasive particles whose size can vary from one toothpaste to another (related to the component used to provide this abrasive property); these particles act like 'sandpaper', and this method should be seen as polishing.

- if you take coarse sandpaper on a soft material --> creation of marks

- if you take sandpaper that is too fine on a hard material --> no change

The goal is therefore to find the appropriate sandpaper for the hardness of the material in order to polish it without leaving marks.

At this stage, one thing is certain: not all screens are made of the same material, and not all toothpastes have the same abrasive properties.

It would therefore be more constructive when you provide feedback to indicate what you used as 'polishing paste' and on which phone, rather than making a comment judging the method as effective or useless.

toothpaste reduces scratches but does not make them disappear

I wholeheartedly agree with JMM (not to mention the unnecessary comments that are just "+1" like "hahaha").
