How to play CDs in new cars without a CD player?

Hello,
I have a lot of CDs and no player in my 2008, and neither the time nor the desire to burn all my CDs onto my PC (which also doesn't have a CD drive) and then transfer them all onto USB drives.
Anyway, if I get an external CD player and connect it via USB to my car, can I expect to enjoy my music in the car again?
Thanks in advance.

Hello

An external CD player won’t work unless you go through a multimedia gateway.

The only way to listen to your CDs is to change your car radio. I know it’s annoying to change the car radio when you don’t know much about it, or you can get your music from a downloading site, which will be even simpler. Just get a 4GB or 8GB USB drive, and you can put all your CDs on it, which will save you a lot of space in your glove compartment. No more CDs in the car, that way you keep your music on CDs at home, and in your car, you'll have the same thing, but on a USB drive.
