playback issue on M6 replay Solved

Question

Hello,
I have a certain problem with M6 replay; sometimes it works really well, I watch the episodes of Diana's Dream. The first time, I watched the first episode without any problems, but starting from the second episode, I had bugs. The picture stops while the sound continues, or everything stops, and it gives me a buffering issue. When this happens 3 or 4 times during the video playback, it’s not too annoying, but when it’s every 10 seconds (and I’m not exaggerating), the video becomes impossible to watch. So I gave up for a while, then I started again. I was able to watch episodes 9 to 14 again, and at episode 15, there was another bug, the same kind as the first time. So I went a while without trying. Two days ago, I tried again (yes, again). I could watch episodes 19 to 36 without too many problems; I even managed to watch some from beginning to end without a single bug. But today, I can't seem to watch the next ones. I really don’t understand what’s going on. I don’t think it’s my setup (otherwise it would happen for all episodes). I thought it might be my internet connection, but I’ve never had any problems on other sites like France5, where I watch the Health Magazine.
I’m on Windows Vista, I use WMP 11 and IE 7 when I watch on M6 replay (so the configuration is good according to M6's website), I tried with Firefox and I have the same problem.
My internet provider is Club Internet.

Bonjour, chaque fois que je me connecte à M6 Replay, Internet Explorer se ferme et me marque un message (IE doit redémarrer). Je suis sous Vista, ça fonctionnait très bien, et depuis que j'ai installé le pack 1, j'ai ce problème. Si quelqu'un a une idée, écrivez-moi.

Hello,  welcome to the club, I’m experiencing the same type of issues as you, I’m on XP and FIREFOX, the shows I watch are # but the problems are the same, I’ve come to conclude that it’s more an issue with M6 than with us… a matter of optimism!!!

Unlike what has been attempted as explanations on the M6 Replay blog, the DRM upgrade happens automatically. I am posting this information here before some subscribers damage their computers in vain trying to make their Windows Media Player work. Mine has been updated and everything is set up properly. I even reinstalled the latest software, and the problem still persists. Yet, I was already receiving all my updates and others. I believe that if this is merely a control issue regarding simple video playback that should not be recorded, appropriate information could be provided simply. We are, after all, understanding of this fact... It is truly unfortunate that we cannot benefit from this service more easily, especially since it only lasts a week for each show, unlike elsewhere. Thank you to M6 for doing their best and genuinely looking into this so that we can finally resolve these playback frustrations.
M6 must not forget that we are not all computer experts and that this is a service the channel has offered us that needs to be straightforward... Thank you to the channel for its programs and for its efforts as well.

- Here are the official notes regarding DRM, which are important and should also be considered -
DRM Component Upgrade:
Owners of music or video who choose to protect their content with Microsoft DRM may also ask you to upgrade the components on your computer before accessing their content. When you attempt to play content that requires a DRM upgrade, Windows Media Player will alert you and request your consent before downloading the DRM upgrade. If you refuse the upgrade, you will no longer be able to access content that requires this DRM upgrade. However, you will still be able to access unprotected content and secured content that does not require the upgrade.

If you accept the upgrade, Windows Media Player will send a request to a Microsoft server containing standard computer information, standard troubleshooting data, information about the DRM components installed on your computer, such as their revision level and security, as well as a unique identifier of your computer based on your hardware configuration. The Microsoft server uses this identifier to send back a unique DRM upgrade for your computer, which will then be installed by Windows Media Player.

Hi, thanks a lot for the information, but now Internet Explorer allows M6 Replay to load, but nothing happens, the loading keeps spinning continuously. I have Windows Vista Basic and I've had this problem since I did an update.
I don't know what to do, Wizzgo doesn't allow me to record M6 anymore, and I don't have a VCR...

Furthermore, what antivirus do you use? Is it a PC that you use at home or at work?

Hello everyone, I have a PC running Vista and I've been using Avast and Spybot as antivirus for months. I couldn't access the M6 Replay website without Internet Explorer giving me error messages or the site crashing. By chance, I installed Mozilla Firefox and since then I haven't had any issues watching programs on M6 Replay; the same goes for the TF1 site. So I encourage you to try it out—I didn't do anything else but install Firefox, and I use it to connect to the site, and I have no more problems.

I think your problems are due to Kaspersky, but I haven't found the option to disable in this software to make M6 Replay work yet.

Can you tell me which Kaspersky software you are using: Anti-virus or Internet Security?

The only way I've found so far is to uninstall Kaspersky, but I bet that's not convenient for you ;)

@kami: I'm progressing slowly in my tests.  I managed to get these videos to work: https://www.6play.fr/m6#/series-et-fictions/le-reve-de-diana/10900015 https://www.6play.fr/m6#/emissions/le-chef-contre-attaque/10800071  To do this: 1. open Kaspersky Internet Security 2. make sure that "Anti-banner" is greyed out with a cross in front of it; if it’s not, click on it, and select "Disable"  Once "Anti-banner" is greyed out, make sure to restart your PC. I didn’t always do this and it didn’t work. I had to restart. (make sure to restart before testing...)

It was working perfectly at my place until the day before yesterday when I had cuts every 10 seconds and since then it happens all the time. I can't find where it's coming from, I have a good connection yet it's frustrating not to find the source of the problem :(. If anyone has had this issue before, please help me.

I feel the same way for about 2 weeks now, and it reassures me to see that I'm not the only one affected. I thought it was my internet connection that was acting up.

So for my part, I took Opera as my browser, I double-clicked on the video, settings

then in the Adobe Flash Player settings, I increased the amount of information I want to store on the computer.

I set it to unlimited and it hardly bugs anymore

Hello everyone,  I have the same issue with M6 Replay for about 2-3 weeks; it cuts off every 10 seconds, and I have to pause and wait 30 minutes to be able to watch the video halfway without it cutting off, and even then...! And as some have said, it used to work REALLY WELL BEFORE!! So the settings should not be up to us to fix but to M6 Replay, and I’ve noticed that the same issue occurs with TF1.  On the other hand, videos on YouTube and elsewhere work just fine, so there’s no point in blaming our providers; the problem definitely comes from M6 and others! But anyway, we live in a society where no matter how much you shout, they couldn’t care less, so I’m not surprised if no one responds at M6!  It disgusts me because we're left hanging without any warning! pffff what a waste!  So where is the solution ???????

it kept lagging, so I let it load for an hour and a half and it didn't change anything, it's really M6's fault.

On my phone, it works perfectly with Firefox

However, on my desktop PC with Opera and Firefox, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't
sometimes I get ads, sometimes nothing, basically, it's never the same
it works one time out of 10

Hello everyone! So, I have a MacBook running OS X version 10.6.6, and my problem is even worse than yours: when I open M6 replay, I select the video and start it, and I get 1-2 minutes of ads and then nothing. Just a black screen. The computer doesn't crash, but the video doesn't work. And it's not just with one video; I've tried several types, but nothing works. So if anyone has an idea, I'm open to anything! :/ Thanks in advance!
