Problem with .avi (green and pixelated screen)

Hello everyone. So, I have several .avi files, and when I play them on Windows Media Player, the screen is mostly green with big squares. Yet, during the download, there were several comments saying it worked perfectly.
HELP PLZ

    Hello Beno,
    to make your .avi files work, you need to update your codecs. Go to telecharger.com, for example, and search for codecs. Try the K-Lite Codec Pack, which includes audio and video codecs, and install it. Normally, your problem should be resolved.

      Honestly, a big thank you to you, it works perfectly for all the movies that wouldn’t play. Well, a small downside is that the codecs were packed with spyware and spying stuff, but I don’t care, I have nothing important on my old Packard Bell ready for the trash.
