Hello,
I hope this is the right place and that there aren't any topic overlaps...
I'm working with OpenOffice Writer, version 2.3.
I need to set a background (image imported as .JPG) that takes up the whole page, for creating a template (presentation, header, footer....)
In short, the problem is that I can't write text over it, or when I can and save, I can't edit what I've written.
The best solution would be to: LOCK the background or image.

The post is not very recent, but I'm replying in case someone might need the procedure.
In the format menu, then page, there is the background command where you choose an image and then there are options: fill (which enlarges the image to cover the entire page) or the tiling option (which will multiply the image as many times as needed to fill the page).
