Hello,
I would like to know how far away we can open an electric gate with an antenna on the post. I have an Extel motor and I can open it from about 10 meters. How can I do it from further away? Thank you for letting me know.
Configuration: Windows XP Internet Explorer 7.0

Hello,
I have a WEAT C2 sliding motor, everything works perfectly, touch bars, infrared transmitter-receiver, but I have a problem with the WEATCR2 lighting module.
I have identified the 220V phase, connected to the NO terminal, and the neutral to the bulb to the COM pin of the module. TRIG input connected to EL, GND to the lower arrow on the motor board, and VIN to the VA terminal.
Yet, nothing happens, no lighting at all and no sound from the relay on the board. The 60-watt halogen bulb works on 220V, so the bulb is not burnt out. If you have any feedback or experience on this issue?
Thank you in advance.

I did not interpret the wiring diagram for the lighting control module correctly. And it is not working. Can you clarify what the COM point and the NO point are connected to ON THE MODULE and where the bulb and the 230V power supply are located? Thank you for your response.

Hi, I also have this type of motorization. My only issue is that with the antenna, there isn't much more range. I can open it from barely 10 meters, and I still need to be in a clear line of sight with no walls in front and directly in front of the gate. But it's been 2 years, and it's still working. Actually, I just wanted to say that I connected a 220V lantern using the ATCR2 module, so when I open my gate, the light turns on, and once the gate is closed, it automatically turns off after 1 minute. I also have the intercom wired in a way that I can open the gate without the remote, just with the key button on the intercom. Bye.

Hello; I also have problems with my Extel WEAT C2 sliding gate; the slowdown does not
occur at the end of the run, resulting in 3 rack sections needing to be changed. I just contacted EXTEL
and they are sending me 2 racks plus an end-of-run module, and if that does not
resolve the problem, I will return the kit to Extel since it is under warranty.

Hello,
I have had an Extel sliding gate motor for almost 7 years now, and until now I have had no problems. However, for about 2 months, it has been working very poorly. The first problem is that while opening or closing, it suddenly slows down for no apparent reason, and the worst part is that it doesn’t do this all the time. We had the board tested at Extel, and it works perfectly. My husband took apart the motor, lubricated all the gears, and checked everything; there is nothing stuck. The second problem was that it was malfunctioning, but we solved that issue as it was the sensors that were faulty, so we replaced them. I would like to know if anyone has the same issue as me because Extel does not understand. Thank you for your responses.

Good evening,

Unfortunately, I do not have a sliding gate, but two swing gates.
However, what I find strange is the fact that the cells are causing the power to trip?!

As for the major problem, maybe the ground rail/guide has warped and therefore the gate sometimes jams?!
Make sure to check if the ground rail/guide is still level in the first place.
Because if the board has been tested by Extel and shows no anomalies... the issue might be more related to the motor or the installation itself.

Best regards.

Would it be possible to have the procedure to chuint out the cells as you did on your portal?

Thank you.

Good evening,
I finally reconnected my gate motor today.
To cushion the leaves when they reach their stops, I glued foam on the stops, and it dampens correctly. Then, I reset the system, and everything works.
However, as there was wind today, the leaves did not stay against the stops; they (especially one) had a travel of about 15 centimeters (between the stop and the blockage caused by the motor). Is this normal? Do you have the same symptom?
Thank you
Have a nice evening.

Hello.
To answer your question from March, it is very likely that your slowing issue is due to a deformation of the rail.
Check the linearity as well as the plumb.
You also mentioned in your email that you had shunted the cells, could you please let me know how?
Best regards.

Hello,
I just bought the ATV 2 KIT and I have a question:
Are the end-of-travel limits mandatory once the learning phase is completed?
I understand that they are necessary for the motors to memorize the start and end points, but are they still needed afterward? I'm asking this because I will have one right in the middle of the passage to a garage...

Regarding your antenna range issue, I think I'm going to buy the external antenna if you tell me that you don't exceed 10 meters.

Good evening,

I also purchased and installed an Extel ATV2, and my issue is the following.

No auto close after opening..
Yet, I have properly set the potentiometer to minimum, and not to maximum for a "step by step" usage.

I did a "learning" process afterwards, but there was no change..

Does anyone have any idea?

I should note that I haven't installed any cells, I just shorted the cell input with the ground.

Thank you for your responses.

Best regards.

Hello,
We are also in the process of setting up the automation and we are encountering the same problem. It's a pain.
Have you received a response since last week?
Thank you.

Hello easy answer, and in the extel documentation (NO CELLS NO AUTOMATIC CLOSURE)

Well, since this afternoon, it's working!

Maybe this will help you...

1 - On this system, the cells are not connected at the same location every two (for power supply).
Make sure to connect the power supply "+" of the "TX" cell to the terminal marked "TXF" and the power supply "+" of the "RX" cell to the terminal marked "VA". Both "-" are connected to the same terminal.

2 - After any adjustment of the potentiometers, do not forget to cut the 220V power for a few seconds, then re-learn the actuators.
(Restore the 220V power, then press the "reset" button until the red light turns on, then press the "P1/SFT" button to trigger the learning process).

I followed this correctly, and since then, the automation works automatically.

If you have two sets of cells (inside and outside), you need to make a series of "NC / COM" cables with the two cells.
Start from the terminal "PHO", then go to the "NC" terminal of your first cell, then go from the "COM" terminal of that same cell to the "NC" terminal of your second cell, and make a jumper between the "COM" terminal and the "-" of your second cell.

Moreover, the relay provided with the kit to operate a doorphone with the automation is not very useful, especially if you have a dry contact output on the doorphone.
Indeed, just connect this dry contact to the terminals marked "STR" and ground for a complete opening of both leaves, or between the "PED" terminal and ground for the opening of a single leaf.

Good luck.

Regards.

Furthermore...

After having set everything up correctly, you notice that the automatic closing indeed works after your set time of 45 seconds for example.

When you test it WITHOUT passing in front of the sensors, the gate will indeed close after the 45 seconds timer.

However, during normal operation, when you open your gate with the remote control, as soon as you pass in front of the sensors, it will close immediately without waiting for the end of the timer!

Good evening,
I also installed the AT V2 last week.
No issues with the automatic closing.
The range of the remote controls is only 20 meters with just the wire (I haven't tried further).
I find that the panels reach the stops quickly, and they hit the stops quite hard. There is no
slowdown at the end of opening or closing (= at 90% of the maneuver as indicated in the manual page 12).
I adjusted the motor force with VR1 and VR5, but nothing worked.
Do you have a slowdown at the end of the stroke?
Another question, do you think it's possible to have the activation of the gate and the garage door on the same remote control? (different motor brands).
Best regards
Antony

Good evening,

On my side, there is no issue with the force; they close "normally."

As for getting the remotes to work on another automation system, I don't think that is possible. A separate board would be needed in the case to operate the other two buttons of the remote on different relays, and only then could another device be controlled.

Best regards.

Thank you Didier for your response.
When you say that the wings close normally, do they bounce when they reach the stops?
Do you feel that the motor slows down when there is about 10% of the maneuver left before reaching the stops in either opening or closing, as indicated in the manual?
It's difficult for me to stop the wings by hand to simulate an obstacle, how about you?
I will conduct more tests tomorrow.
Thanks again
have a good evening

Good evening,

I don't really feel like they are slowing down, but in any case, they are not bouncing back either in closure or in opening.
Did you properly follow the learning process during the setup?
I also noticed that the power supply (mains and/or battery) must be disconnected after each learning modification for it to effectively take the changes into account.

Sincerely

It turns out that the relay was originally stuck in the open position, and after the module was replaced under warranty by Extel, there have been no more issues.
