Somfy Alarm with Freebox in full unbundling

Hello,
I would like to know if my "Protexiom 75" alarm from SOMFY is compatible with a Freebox regarding the telephone transmitter.
It seems that it is. But before I cancel my France Télécom subscription, I would like to know if you have an alarm of this type and if it works.
Thank you
Configuration: Windows XP Internet Explorer 7.0

whoa,
make sure to check that indeed!
but did you ask Somfy?
it's still up to them to clarify whether it works or not in toip.

Yes, I asked SOMFY. My alarm is from 2004, and they tell me that my transmitter will work.
But I wanted to make sure before it’s too late!
What is toip?

toip = Voice over IP
They told you, if they could indicate it to you in writing it would be better because: http://www.123alarme.fr/alarme/transmetteur_telephonique/12-44/somfy/transmetteur_telephonique_somfy.html I read incompatible with total unbundling

They just told me that it is possible to transmit through the box in total unbundling, provided that the line control function 74 can be neutralized. I have this function in my manual, but when navigating on my LCD I stop at 72. So there is no reliable solution if this function is not neutralized; otherwise, there is a risk of unnecessary triggering.

The 2003 version (which is yours since the menu stops at 72) is not compatible with IP remote monitoring; I currently have the same problem (I want to be unbundled) and I will replace mine with a complete Protexiom 600 (it would only require replacing the control panel and the keypad but the price of this set is close to that of a new configuration). It is necessary to calculate if the game is worth the financial investment and to know if your operator (if, like me in 2003, the Protexiom offer was coupled with a remote monitoring offer that is currently unbeatable) guarantees compatibility with its offer.

stop!
I had the issue. A call to Somfy, and they updated my protexiom 75 to disable the line monitoring.
Great job Somfy: sent a prepaid Chronopost package, return in less than a week.
And there you go, wiring on freebox in unbundled mode!

Hello,
You shouldn't have any problems because I have exactly this Protexiom configuration from 2004 + Freebox HD and I have no issues.
Sorry for replying so late but I stumbled upon this site by chance.

Hello
I will soon install a 2005 alarm system on my Freebox in full unbundling, in order to make a proper connection. Could you please send me a small wiring diagram?
Thank you
Best regards

Hello,

I have a Somfy Protexiom 70 alarm with a telephone transmitter (purchased in 2003) and since I canceled my France Telecom subscription, when I plug in my alarm, the siren goes off and I feel like my telephone transmitter isn't working... is it compatible...?

Hello,
Contact Somfy via their website
http://www.somfy.fr/accueil/contactez-nous.html

I am still with France Télécom and haven't switched to unbundled.
Somfy told me by email that the transmitter should work.
Here’s what they replied when I asked them by email:
"Your PROTEXIOM 75 telephone transmitter is compatible with an ADSL subscription in total unbundling (VoIP type) if you indeed have menu 74. This menu allows you to deactivate line monitoring. In this case, you just need to dial 0 in menu 74 to disable this line monitoring.

If you do not have this menu (older version), we recommend that you contact us at 0810 12 12 37 so that we can provide you with instructions for updating your telephone transmitter. Indeed, with an ADSL subscription in total unbundling, you will need to disable line monitoring because every power cut and every ADSL line cut will trigger your alarm."

What do you mean by online surveillance?

If the phone line detects a break while surveillance is active, it concludes that burglars have cut the phone line in anticipation of an imminent break-in and so that the control center cannot alert a monitoring company, for example.
In the case of an ADSL Box, it is not uncommon for there to be a service interruption. Therefore, there is a significant risk of false alarms. Unless you can disable the option "I monitor the validity of the phone line": it's not such a big risk, I believe. Unless you live in a prestigious residence, burglars are not going to bother cutting your phone cable outside the house (buried) before breaking in!

Cutting telephone wires, even those buried (in the junction boxes), has become common practice. With a little spray foam in the outdoor or indoor sirens, and voilà, no one sees a thing.
The only solution is an integrated GSM transmitter.

1 GSM jammer now costs €40.

Meh, the mobile phone jamming is not really a parade: a GSM jammer costs 50 euros...

Hello,
the Protexiom 75 Transmitter is equipped with line supervision. You will need to disable this function in Menu 74 of the LCD Keypad:

- Press the Menu ("<") key on the LCD Keypad, then enter your installation code and "Valid"

- Then press 74 and "Valid", 1 will appear on the screen.

- Then press 0 and "Valid"

If you cannot access Menu 74, it means that the version of your Transmitter is not the correct one. However, we can perform an update on it.

Have a nice day,

I'm not sure I would trust an ADSL operator with the quality of service that comes with it for my alarm...

arf,
when there is no more than the toip, we will have to trust them.

Ultimately, after several years of using an alarm through the ADSL network, I can now say that it is feasible and works very well. Nevertheless, ADSL outages at my place have been very rare.
