Hello,
My multimedia hard drive remote control (King Elephant brand) is broken. Apparently, these remotes are universal for all multimedia hard drives.
However, where can I buy a replacement?
I've searched on websites, but I can't find anything!
If anyone knows a site that sells them, it would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you all for your help!

I had the same issue with a LaCIE remote control for Classique HD 1TB... and I couldn't get a universal remote to work with my multimedia hard drive...
I finally decided to disassemble it (after the company asked me for 20€ to replace it!!!!) and I noticed that a chip was broken: one of those for the infrared LED... I scratched (the varnish) a bit on the trace to expose it and re-soldered it. And it works... in fact, the two infrared LED chips are located near the on/off button and it turns out that my children (and I) tend to press too hard on this button (because we often feel like the remote isn't working)... so it warps the printed circuit board and strangely the trace broke (bad manufacturing?). I think this will happen again...
