My 2TB We multimedia hard drive won't turn on!!!!!!!!

Hello everyone,
Here is my problem, I have a We Digital multimedia hard drive by Samsung - Silver WE 2 To USB 2.0 that was working perfectly until last night (my parents watched a movie without any issues) and when a few hours later I got back, I took my multimedia hard drive to connect it to my TV in my bedroom and there... no more power, the red light won't turn on!!! I tried unplugging and plugging it back in several times but it didn’t change anything, until the moment the red light came back on. Relieved, I turned it on with the remote control and while I was changing the channel on my TV, my multimedia hard drive turned off by itself and now it's impossible to turn it back on, the red light does not light up anymore. I used another power cable (the one from my Toshiba laptop that has the same connector as my multimedia hard drive) and now the red light turns on but it's impossible to start it!!!!!! When I try with the remote control (since there is no button on my hard drive), it doesn't start, the only thing that happens when I press the remote control button is that the red light turns off and turns back on the next second!!!!
Not being a computer expert, I have no idea what it could be!
Please help me, I have a lot, a lot of photos that I do not want to lose!!!!!!

Give us the details of your hard drive's power cable and your Toshiba.
Especially the xxV and the xxA part (for example, 19V and 4.74A)

I connected another power cable (the one from my Toshiba laptop which has the same connector as my multimedia hard drive)Whoa, BE CAREFUL! Just because it fits doesn't mean it works. If your laptop's power cable is supposed to be 19V while your hard drive is 12V, you’re going to fry everything—unplug that!
Give us the details of your hard drive's power cable and your Toshiba.
Especially the xxV and the xxA part (for example, 19V and 4.74A)

Huh?
So it could be one of the following 3 cases:
-> Power failure/irregularity: you need to find another one with the same voltage and test it.
-> Multimedia casing failure: remove the hard drive and plug it into another external casing to test.
-> Hard drive failure: same test.
