External multimedia hard drive won't turn on Solved

Question

Hello, I bought a Love We multimedia external hard drive from WE yesterday. Data transfer, sorting, and archiving are done, so far so good!!! This morning I tried to power on the hard drive, the device is on standby (red light on) but I can't turn it on with the remote!!! The batteries are good, I've checked, the issue is that the hard drive can only be turned on with the remote, there is no power button on the box; so I don't know if the problem is with the hard drive or the remote!!! If anyone has had this problem before or knows this hard drive well, thank you in advance for your help!!! :)    Configuration: Windows 7 / Firefox 12.0

Hello Unplug the hard drive and restart it? If it is "frozen," this will allow it to restart.  Check for any firmware updates for the hard drive on the manufacturer's website. -- Please read the charter (above the forum list). Please mark your threads as resolved. Dura Lex, Sed Lex

Hello,If it's on your PC, there's no need for a remote control; it's the USB that provides the power, so that's the problem. If it's on a TV, you need a multimedia device before the hard drive; otherwise, it won't work.Please respond.Best regards, a+

Thank you for replying so quickly!! Actually, it's plugged in, the standby light is on, it's connected to the PC, but I can't turn it on, and if it’s not turned on, the PC doesn't detect it!!! I feel like I'm going in circles and I'm especially worried about losing all the files transferred onto it! And I've already tried unplugging and re-plugging it!! Could it be the remote control's fault? I'm so frustrated, I haven't even had it for 24 hours and I don't know much about it!

Well, it seems the case is dead, so they're going to change it for me on Wednesday, fingers crossed; otherwise, it's a new hard drive and goodbye to my data!!! Anyway, always have your photos in multiple copies!!! :( In any case, thank you to those who took the time to give me advice!!!

Hello,  the remote only works with the TV, not with the PC. There's no need to panic; just take it back to the service center or the place where you bought it. If it's been 24 hours since you got it, I think there's a warranty on that for 6 months.  Best regards, see you!
