very poor video quality with VLC

Hello, I downloaded several movies on LimeWire but they are all of very poor quality when I watch them with VLC media player. Is it the media player?? Thank you for your answers

Same problem, the solution: in the start menu, VLC folder -> Set Video Mode to OpenGL This uses the graphics card for resizing and the result is much better :)

Good evening,I had the same problem but I was given the solution.You need to do Ctrl+P -> Video -> Display -> Output: choose "Direct 3D".It should work!!
