Advantages / disadvantages SFF LFF?

Hello,

I'm currently looking into purchasing an HP server, and there are two types of SATA/SAS disk drives: SFF or LFF (small and large).
From what I've seen, the LFF drives are cheaper (including for the RAID controller cache memory) and more performant (7200 RPM), but I only have 6 slots, which would lead to a less performant RAID 5.
The SFF drives are less performant (5400 RPM), more expensive, but I can put in 8.

The choice is a dilemma!!! And I admit I don't know what to choose, knowing that the server is meant to be a file server.
Is it better to opt for a better RAID or faster disks (the price is not a significant issue as the budget is sufficient)?

Thank you in advance.

Late response, but it might be useful you never know...

SFFs are "faster" at equivalent rotational speeds because the diameter of the disks is smaller. To read the data written on the outer parts of the platters of an LFF at the same rate as an SFF, the LFF has to spin faster.
A current 10k RPM SFF would therefore be comparable to a 15k RPM LFF, at least that's what I was told.

On the other hand, it is always preferable to increase the number of axes, in other words, the number of disks.

After all, SFFs are necessarily more expensive...
