Hello everyone,
This is the first time I'm sending a request for help. I've always found answers to my questions on the forum and I'm really and sincerely thankful to the people who take the time to respond to our questions.
Yesterday, I bought a multimedia case ADAVANCE combo BX-NMP711c. It vibrates a bit and makes a bit more noise than my XEROM case (which works fine). I installed a 500GB Samsung hard drive in this case and formatted it in FAT32. Everything works fine until I turn off my PC to watch a movie on my HP w19b screen (WIDE screen) that I connected with a VGA cable.
The screen displays: ATTENTION INPUT NOT SUPPORTED. (I don't have this problem with the XEROM). Yet I can see the ADVANCE interface behind this message which I can navigate without any problem. So I tested the ADVANCE case on another monitor (a flat screen TV that accepts VGA input). And there, nothing is displayed. It’s worse. I went back to the store where a technician tested the case by connecting it to a CRT monitor. And there, it works fine. So the case is not damaged. There is no function on the HPw19b that allows me to change the image refresh rate. I inquired about changing the firmware of the case but I prefer to wait before doing something stupid.
So in summary, all the video and audio outputs of the case (connecting with yellow, white, red cables to the TV) work except for the VGA output which doesn't work on flat screens. Has anyone had a similar problem? Are there any settings I need to change on my monitor or on my case? Do I have to resign myself to not using the VGA output? lol
Thanks to the site and the forum commentcamarche. Thanks to everyone for reading and see you soon!

Hello
I have the same problem as you, my multimedia hard drive works on the computer but not on my TV. Is it a problem with the jumper being incorrectly positioned on my hard drive?

Hello everyone,
As the owner of this type of external multimedia player, I can no longer see my video files on the TV, but I can on the PC. The videos work, no problems.
Previously, I could play these files on the TV, but since transferring other files to the disk, the TV can no longer read or see them. I deleted these files after the transfer, realizing that it no longer worked, but now the TV mode tells me that there is nothing on the disk (the videos).
Could you help me get these videos back on the TV?
Thank you in advance.

Finally, I gave the enclosure to a friend because I couldn't turn it off whenever I wanted. The enclosure could read mp4, wma, and wmv. That was what made me hesitate to give it away. But well... I also remember that mp3s were played without any problem! I had created 2 partitions, formatted in FAT32. I could choose the partition I wanted to use from the menu.
I advise you to check the jumpers on your drive. Make sure your drive is working properly. You really wouldn't be lucky if your enclosure was defective when you bought it.

There's a firmware update available:
http://www.suza.fr/download/BX-NMP711C.rar
I don't know if the new firmware supports NTFS, but I am currently testing other issues.
There is no list of fixed problems in the rar. :-(
Fixed functions (that I discovered):
- Sound more or less, new maximum 16
- The next/previous buttons work now
- Faster playback after turning on
But no support for mp4 or x-264 :-(
(Sorry if my French is not good)

Hi. Mine won't format into less than 5 partitions of 100 GB max. It crashes explorer.exe as soon as I click the icon in the workstation. In SATA/NTFS (much better than IDE/...), no need to set it as 'slave' or 'master', the seller told me. The firmware is recommended, especially if you go over 400 GB/4 partitions, as the case may not be designed for more! So I need to repartition into 5 x 93 GB :-} There you go. Hoping this is useful to you, ...

Hello,
I bought this enclosure yesterday along with a 750GB hard drive. I formatted it to FAT32 using Fat32FormatterEN. It generated a single partition of 693GB, recognized by my PC (Shuttle under XP) and by the TV without any problem. However, the manual clearly states that the enclosure does not support hard drives larger than 400GB!

I have the same media player (the combo player), but my computer recognizes it very well; however, as soon as I connect it to my TV, it displays the blue advanced screen and "no hdd detected."
Has anyone ever experienced this problem?

Pour qu'il n'affiche plus "no hdd detected", mettez le disque dur en master et montez-le en esclave.
Hello everyone. I downloaded the update for the combo bx-nmp711c and I would like to know how to install it on the media player and especially where, because we can't access the database of the case. Thank you in advance.
Connect the BX-NMP711C to the PC via USB.
In a partition formatted in FAT32 (primary partition), copy the .rom file.
Disconnect the BX-NMP711C from the PC.
Connect it to a television.
Enter the "SETUP" tab.
Go to the "FIRMWARE PAGE".
Scroll down to the "FIRMWARE UPGRADE" tab.
Press the "ENTER" button on the remote control.
A window will appear displaying the current Firmware version as well as the version to upgrade to.
A message will ask you to confirm your choice.
Press enter to proceed with the update or another button to exit.

Hello,
I did not understand how to update the firmware of my BX-NMP711C.
My situation is as follows:
I have an unformatted SATA hard drive in this case that contains a number of movies.
I downloaded the update from the SUZA website.
The question is as follows:
How do we transfer this file from the PC to the device?
Thank you for shedding some light on this.

Hello,
I've had the BX-NMP711C for 2 days
The first drive I tried, a 500 GB in NTFS, is recognized by the computer but not by the TV
The second one, a 40 GB reformatted to FAT32 under VISTA, is recognized in TV mode
I tried to update the firmware:
It shows the current version: AD.E8.09.05.SU
But no firmware detected on the drive
I did place the firmware.rom file from suza.fr in the root of my 2 partitions
What version do you have?
Maybe I have the latest one, which would explain why it doesn't find anything better on the drive.

Hello,
I wanted to buy this enclosure but I have a few questions for the "happy" owners:
1) Does it work without a hard drive installed, just with a USB stick on which I will put movies and/or photos?
2) Does it have a loop playback function (for example, to play movies or photos from a folder in a loop)?
Thank you.

Hello Picore
There is indeed a loop play and slideshow function for photos.
However, I don't know about your first question, as I'm experiencing a problem with the USB host port. Whenever I plug in a USB stick or an external hard drive, the box freezes, and I have to reboot it. Does anyone else have the same problem? Is it a configuration issue? How can I fix it? Thank you for your help.

Hello, I own a media player advance bx-nmp711c that was working relatively well until yesterday (apart from playing videos taken with my digital photo app). Anyway, yesterday I wanted to do the update available on the site suza.fr and since then, when I connect it to the TV, it gets stuck on the home menu. I'm desperate, does anyone have a solution?? Thank you!!
Hello everyone,
I have been the happy owner of a BX NMP711C for a few months now, everything was working great until the remote stopped functioning.
I bought another remote but it still doesn't work; apparently, it comes from the IR receiver of the remote on the drive. Has anyone experienced the same issue?
I can use the drive with the buttons on the front, but it is more than tedious.
Thank you for your replies
