Subtitle Workshop does not display the film.

Hello!
I just installed Subtitle Workshop 2.5.1 to try using private documentaries with subtitles.
I load the DVD, AVI, or other movie... we hear the sound, but there is no image!
I had first tried the Beta 4 in English. There was no problem with the image, but on the other hand there was no way to modify the default (huge) subtitle style.

    ah! but yes! you need to go into the options to enable it ...

    Ah! If you have a film or a video without images you need to download software named: ffdshow!

    I meant that with Subtitle Workshop the images don’t display. With any other software (including Subtitle Workshop Beta 4) they display without a problem.
