Hello,

Since April, I have an LG TV, full HD LED, model 32LB5610.

I connected my DVD player with a hard drive for recording, Packard Bell brand, model from 10 years ago. I used Scart connectors.

While I can read DVDs well, the player is not detecting the TV signal... Is this a connection issue or a compatibility issue between the devices?

Thank you in advance for your clarifications!

Hello,
The antenna socket should be connected first to the DVD and then back to the TV.
Your DVD has, given its age, an SD tuner, whereas we are currently in HD, so you will need to add an external HD TNT receiver (starting from €30).

Thank you for your reply.
The antenna socket is connected as you indicated.
On the user manual of the recorder, it says for the tuner Secam B/G D/KL, PAL B/G D/KI... Does that mean it is an SD tuner?

Not even, it's an analog tuner, so you'll need to buy an external tuner; the antenna will be connected first to it and then back to the TV.

Thank you, while waiting to buy an external HD tuner, I reconnected my recorder to an old TV!
