Hello,
I can't install the Wifi connection for the Olivetti printer.
Could you help me?
Step 1: OK (reminder: this is the USB installation for Windows with the cable)
Step 2: OK (reminder: this is the activation of the printer's wifi component)
I chose the ad-hoc network since my PC has a wifi antenna
after sending the settings, the printer appears in the list of wireless networks
the wifi light on the printer is green
Step 3: KO (reminder: this is the wifi installation)
I insert the CD, click on "add" + "wifi"
the problem is that nothing appears in the device list so I think there is an issue with the previous step
what problem? how to solve it?
I have made several attempts uninstalling the Olivetti applications each time (including Bonjour).
I tried switching to "infrastructure".
Nothing works.
How did you do it?
Thank you in advance for your information.
As a last resort, I will call the hotline, but considering their hours (and mine), it's going to be difficult...
See you soon,
Cilia

I tested the installation of the Olivetti ANY_WAY Wifi Plus on Windows VISTA...
1°) the drivers provided by default are for Windows XP, you need to download the VISTA version from the Olivetti website
2°) once the installation in USB mode is complete, you must remain connected and configure the WIFI via the toolbox
- I only tested in infrastructure mode (multiple machines communicate with a WIFI access point; e.g.: if you connect via a "Box")
- you need to activate the wifi in the toolbox settings, choose the infrastructure mode and the type of connection (open, WEP, EAP-PSK) and enter the key or passphrase (the EAP-PSK mode can use either a WAP-PSK key or an EAP-PSK type passphrase)
- before sending the settings to the printer, you need to configure the printer's IP address via the "Network" branch located under the "WIFI" option: by default a fixed IP is configured, but you can let your "Box" choose one via its DHCP module, it's better to let it do this initially because the subnet mask of the Box router does not necessarily match the default address of the printer
- go back to the WIFI configuration page and this time, send the settings to the printer
- secondly, note the MAC address of the printer, which is usually visible at the "box" in a maintenance page provided for this purpose within its web interface, and use this MAC address to configure a fixed IP address at the level of the Box router (since the printer is not intended to be moved, it’s better to fix its IP permanently), then restart the printer's IP configuration with the chosen IP this time.
3°) the last step is to install the printer in WIFI mode: unplug the cable and perform a new installation in Wifi; when choosing the network interface, it should appear directly in the list or after a little "refresh" via the button provided for that purpose.
WARNING: always check that the printer is recognized at the router level of the box, otherwise it will not appear in the mentioned list.
However, I noted that the WIFI mode of this printer works very very poorly and the closer the printer is to the box, the better it works... albeit randomly in all cases. After a while, it’s better to connect the printer directly to the Box via USB, as this avoids connectivity issues.

Hello
I’m also having problems with my printer...
Were you able to make it work via USB and in color printing??
If so, I’m interested; could you explain to me how?,
Thanks in advance

HELLO POLUX
YES I MANAGED TO GET IT WORKING OVER USB AND TO PRINT IN COLOR. WHEN I INSTALLED IT WITH THE CD, I FOLLOWED THE INSTRUCTIONS AND MY PC RECOGNIZED IT. I'M ON XP AND YOU?
TRY AGAIN WITH THE CD, MAKING SURE TO FOLLOW ALL THE INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY
OTHERWISE I CAN'T HELP YOU ANYMORE, I'M SORRY
GOOD LUCK
PS: if you know how to set up the wifi, I would appreciate your help
thank you

Hello everyone
I also have problems with the Olivetti printer. I managed to install the printer via USB; it works fine, but when it comes to the Wi-Fi and Bluetooth settings, it’s a nightmare. The manual is poorly explained on these topics.
For the USB, I simply installed the driver provided, and it worked on its own
If you have any updates regarding the Wi-Fi and Bluetooth settings, I'm interested
Thanks

Hello everyone,
I agree with you (tonyleloulou), the instructions are very poorly explained and several things do not match. I also succeeded in the USB installation, but for the Wi-Fi installation, my computer does not detect my printer in the list of "wireless" devices despite the Wi-Fi light on the printer being on. I think I might need a Wi-Fi antenna for the computer, but I'm not sure, so if anyone knows how to help me (so that my computer detects the printer), please let me know the procedure to follow.
Thank you.

Hello everyone,
I encountered the same problem as you, and after many attempts, I finally managed to solve this Wi-Fi connection issue with my Olivetti Anyway Photo Wireless Plus under XP, and here's how I did it:
After the USB installation
in the toolbox menu, select:
- infrastructure
- name of the Livebox (wanadoo xxxxxx), written on the Livebox
- Shared key
- enter the WEP key on index 1
- hexadecimal
host name: WIFI PRINTER (for example), the name that appears to recognize the Wi-Fi connection
service name: WIFI PRINTER (for example), name of the printer
Then use the management program for your Wi-Fi card and click on "profile". "WIFI PRINTER" should appear, click on properties and select:
profile name: WIFI PRINTER
network: Wanadooxxxxx
infrastructure network
personal security
WEP 128 bits
enter the WEP key
and key index: 1
click on connect
Then you need to add a printer using the Olivetti program found in the start menu, Olivetti, etc...
This is what I did step by step to make it work. I know this is specific to my laptop (a Dell), but you can adapt based on your software.
Let me know if it works for you, and if not, I will help you.
Ciao.

Hi, thanks for your response. I also use a Dell and it doesn't work because my card can't find the printer even though I'm connected to the live box via wifi.
To make sure of my actions, I check by going to Start - All Programs - Accessories - Communications and Network Connections, and there I should see the printer appear.
Thanks for your help.

I'm with Orange and the Livebox, I've followed every step of your comments but nothing works.
Does the Livebox act as a router?
Do I need to install a router?
Could you help me because I'm struggling to manage?
Thanks
