Question

Hello, when I try to perform the (automatic) updates for the radars on my g200 alert system, I’m asked to check if I’m connected to the internet, I am okay, but when I log onto the site alertgps.com, the checkbox for "automatic update" is grayed out, so it's impossible, does anyone know the solution? Thank you very much.

You download the update file http://www.gpsprevent.com/telechargement.asp?p=G200&l=fr, then go to manual installation, browse, select it, and just validate; it takes about 1 minute and it's done!

I found the solution. The updates are performed simply under Windows XP but not under Vista or Windows 7. Do the same manipulations. Download the G200 software from www.alertegps.com and follow the procedure. I didn't have any problems and it works. I'm really good at this. THERE IS A SOLUTION, YOU GO TO GPS G200 UPDATE. YOU NEED TO DOWNLOAD THE GPS G200 FILE ON WINDOWS XP OR WINDOWS VISTA, YOU HAVE TO SAVE IT AND EXTRACT IT. THEN YOU NEED TO DO THE SAME WITH THE USB DRIVER ON WINDOWS XP OR VISTA, AND YOU HAVE TO SAVE IT AND EXTRACT IT. Hello, I'm encountering the same problem: the update starts and stops at the same point. The same goes for resetting. After exchanging the device, I ended up with the same problem, worse because by insisting, I ended up locking everything. Disappointing this G200 Neo V2 blue label PC on Vista.

It's a good device. It's up to date, even for the latest speed cameras, it warns with voices, I hate beeping sounds! It does its job well, so it would be a shame not to get it to work.  At first, I couldn't get it to work simply because it wasn't the right version of the software.  Try both to be sure, and do it on another computer, that way you'll know for sure! --   Live to live

What I did: I downloaded version 2 (executable name g200v2_installation.exe, I also installed the driver, even though the device was recognized by Windows Seven.  Otherwise, I'm stuck! And I no longer have Vista to test. But it works under XP too!

I reinstalled the software and the driver at work (on XP), and I had no issues with the automatic update. However, the database is not updating. There is a problem with the manual update because the update file has a COF extension while the software requires a PCK extension.

I chose version 1 or 2, depending on the color of the label on the back of the device. Mine is purple, so version 2. I obtained a free version. Don't forget to edit the compliance certificate after entering the serial number. Certificate is free and issued by Wikango. The update went very well. The device was updated on 05/05/2012 (120505) and the voice is up to date as of November 2011.... It works well....
