Good evening, I’d like to know if in all versions of CCleaner you have to check all the boxes as shown in the tutorial? Because I have a version v2.01.507 and, as I had advised my brother, it helped him; I found one for him, and he went to get it himself with my help over the phone. but apparently he did not check some boxes, for example: automatic history of captures, because he saw in the help that if this box was checked it would remove passwords? But of what? for games or what... how to choose wisely? and does it depend on what? Otherwise, I would tick as in a proposed tutorial, even if it isn’t the quoted version. FOR EXAMPLE, me emptying the Recycle Bin is checked, and the other day I ran CCleaner, then I didn’t remember a reference of an app or I don’t know what, and I wanted to look into it, but nothing, and that’s happened at least twice! Then, helping my brother, I noticed that the “empty trash” option was checked, is that better? THANKS for any answer.

Ccleaner is currently on version v2.04.543. When you installed the software, go to Help where everything is well explained. You should find this help on your disk at:
C:\Program Files\CCleaner\Help\IndexCCleaner.htm
I advise you to back up the registry when it asks you to.

If you update it, you replace the old version with the new one......
If you prefer, do it! Uninstall the version you have and go download a better one.., in both cases, it will work.

Hi BRIQUET44, sorry for the delay in my reply. I see you prefer everything in French, it’s easier that way, true. You know, it’s my fault for writing: "saisie semi-automatique" instead of "saisie automatique." But don’t worry about that...! If CCleaner erased MSN conversation histories, nobody would want to use it! I believe the version you have is already excellent, but you are insecure. And since it will be better in French, I’m giving you a link to download the French version.

CCLEANER and I read many user reviews, in principle, mostly good ratings, but still for
the inexperienced, not enough rating etc..I don’t have time today to read them all, unfortunately, but
it will be better this week, is the latest version still ? 2.04.543 ? like the one ClaudeRay talked about earlier.

Some say CCLEANER is good mainly for people who don’t have much on their PC but for
the others! crashes and others ...? but I’ll still take it.
One more thing: when you put it, don’t be afraid: D what does this D stand for? and I also saw ^^ that keep coming back in
other posts, is there a place to go and fetch these famous conventional signs? it seems to me someone had
already indicated the path to me, but oh well!

Hey there! For CCleaner, I have the same version you’re talking about. If you check the semi-automatic entry (semi-automatic input), it performs a clean of your browsing history. The advantage? Well you’ll receive less of the somewhat intrusive ads when you visit sites. Because the information stored from your previous navigations can be retrieved in the search bars and used to offer you things based on your search interests... I check all the boxes... except in ADVANCED. Bye!
Good evening, Chatonne. I checked in my CCLEANER; I didn't have semi-automatic capture, but automatic capture, and it is checked. That might explain why, at the moment of the clash, the entire history disappeared. But I also think I had deleted the history, not knowing that it could later concern my searches for MSN, as part of the cleaning recommended by an internet user. (but it's not certain that it indeed concerned my famous lost conversations). Today I was really very busy, most of the day. My schedule was completely disrupted, and unforeseen events happen!
