Mail merge from Excel to Excel

Question

Hello,

I have a customer database in the form of an Excel spreadsheet. I would like to create a profile for each customer from this table in order to develop the characteristics of the clients. I could do it manually, but I have dozens of them and it would take me an entire day to do it well. I'm not sure if there is a kind of mail merge from Excel to Excel.

And once it's set up, is it possible to update the general information on the main spreadsheet and have the profiles update automatically? I plan to keep everything in the same workbook.

hello  a kind of mail merge from excel to excel. That's not exactly what you want. In fact, you can create a tab for each client (accessible via hyperlink). You create your client profile template, trying not to forget anything, and then you put formulas to retrieve the data from the general tab. Thus, your profiles will always be up to date. With your template, you create a copy of the tab for each client: this is possible with a small macro. --   always zen

I looked at the docs on the tutorials and it does seem very comprehensive, thank you.

I started reading but it is quite long.

I started with a simple macro and I can't find how to make the macro create the client file that I ask for. It always recreates the file I created during the recording.

1- In the sheet where you will create the form, create a dropdown list containing either the order numbers of the clients or their names - whichever you prefer - that returns a value representing the client's order in a cell (A1), and make the font color in this cell white so that it does not appear when printed.

2- Once the form is complete, place the formulas (VLOOKUP) in the cells that change from one client to another, as in the example:
VLOOKUP(A1, CLIENT DATA TABLE RANGE, column index number, 0).

N.B: The first column of the table must contain the order numbers of the clients (1, 2, 3....)
