WiFi activation issue on Fujitsu Amilo Solved/Closed

Question

Hello,

I cannot detect wireless networks, nor can I enable Wi-Fi via the button located at the top of the keyboard of my Fujitsu Siemens Amilo L1310G laptop.

I have reinstalled the driver for the Atheros AR5005G Wireless Network
I have pressed Fn+F2
I have tried everything but to no avail

Thank you for helping me as I am in a place where I can only connect my laptop via Wi-Fi, which works perfectly on other machines.

Configuration: Windows XP Internet Explorer 6.0

are you sure it's the F2 key?
Personally, I have an Amilo, and the combination is Fn + F10 (a small antenna).
Make sure the wireless configuration is set to automatic and that the service is running. This is necessary for Windows to configure your connection afterwards.
To do this, go to: "start""run" type "services.msc" and hit OK
You look for the line Wireless Configuration, and next to this line, you should have what I mentioned earlier. If not, you activate it.

Yes, it works for another position, the one I'm connected to. By the way, on the PC, there are two keys that aren't working properly; I think it's the Wi-Fi key and the Bluetooth key, but they worked fine before. Next to them are the keys for starting the PC and for the internet.

I don't get it, you say it works for another position. Which position? And then you talk about keys that have a problem. If the Wi-Fi activation keys don't work on your machine, you can't connect.

Hi, I also had the same problem, it didn't detect any network
it really pissed me off, then by chance I went to the properties of the
Wi-Fi card, then to configure, then to the advanced tab, and I changed the
ad hoc channel number 802.11b/g, and it immediately found my Livebox

Hi,

I know where your problem is coming from. It's at the level of the OS, use XP instead of Vista and reinstall your Wi-Fi card with its installation CD.

P.S.: If you've lost the installation CD, go to the official Fujitsu-Siemens website to download the necessary drivers for your Wi-Fi card.

You'll need the serial number of your laptop, e.g. Amilo 1310G.

For my part, it recognizes all the networks but only connects when it feels like it... sometimes, I see the connections and can't access them...

For the issues concerning the amilo, I had a problem because when trying to activate the Wi-Fi combination, it didn't work. So, I downloaded the launch manager from the official Fujitsu Siemens site, then I installed it on my computer. First, it uninstalled it, then I started over and installed it again, and now I have no more problems; it was due to certain automatic updates.
Otherwise, I have a new problem since my connection to the Livebox via Wi-Fi is no longer working suddenly, so if you could help me, thanks.

Actually, I simply unplugged the router (livebox) and then plugged it back in. After about 5 minutes, it went back to normal.

Hi everyone, I recently had a problem with the wifi connection on my laptop (Amilo Pi 3660). My Fn+F1 key, which was supposed to reactivate my wifi, was no longer working... I updated the PC with all the latest updates but nothing worked, still no wifi. So I found another solution. I entered the BIOS and requested to reset it to its original state, and there was a miracle, my wifi came back ^^ Good luck to everyone.

Hello, I opened a new thread on this issue because this one is getting old. Here is the content:  I can't flash the BIOS (flash.sys fail), there is no wireless connection in services.msc, fn+f10 doesn't work as well as the wifi key, launch manager (the one for Vista or for XP, I've tried both) does nothing (does it appear somewhere? in the icon bar?) the wifi card icon appears in the network adapter settings (Intel(R) PRO/Wireless 3945ABG) but disabling/enabling connection/disconnection changes nothing and the troubleshooter indicates that I need to press the button mentioned above...) and in the BIOS, the wifi card is activated and it worked under Vista but I would like it to work under Win7... Anyway, I'm out of solutions, if you have any others...  Configuration: Windows 7 / Firefox 14.0.1

I found a solution (after 3 days of research!): I quote an excerpt from the site where I found the "trick": > go to fujitsu support page find your laptop and download launch manager for Windows XP extract it and then right click go to compatibility view and select run as "windows xp (service pack 2)" - didn't work for me with service pack 3 enable "run as administrator" as well install it and reboot There you go! Press your launch key and it should work. This solution is probably the same for all other laptops with similar problems. So give it a try (don't throw away your old good buddies yet :) <  for me, it worked with launch manager 1.4.2 for my amilo L1310g.

oh yes, I forgot to tell you that I managed to solve the problem. I first installed XP to flash the BIOS and then I was able to activate the Wi-Fi on Win7 (so I have XP and Win7 on the PC)
