I also have a problem with websiteout.
They have been excellent in their service. For almost a year, we haven't had a response from them.
The updating of my site isn't happening despite a good apparent transfer of the site.
      What to do?

At the same time, there's nothing shocking about it: a date is a date, they are just applying the rules.

very good for years (or more...) I have 2 sites with them, the after-sales service is excellent, moreover even at night when I had a problem they responded to me... no really, no problem and quick answers to questions... there you go (I have no sponsors with them, but I also like to know)

They are very, very expensive for the services they provide. Moreover, I'm trying to leave them, and, coincidentally, they are turning a deaf ear. What's worse, I don't know how they did it, but my website, which used to rank very well, no longer appears on Google; instead, theirs shows up. So, to me, they are simply thieves.

      Hello,

If you express yourself as clearly in the emails you send them as you do on this forum, I can easily understand why they might have a bit of difficulty reading you and therefore responding to your requests.

Attention, Scam with the host Websiteout!!!

Hello, in order to avoid others getting tricked, I would like to share an issue I encountered with the host Websiteout.

In January 2012, I was contacted by an outdoor sports company that wanted to modify their website and add online payment functionality.

I then contacted their current host: Websiteout to request the unlocking of my client's domain name, in order to switch to another host (OVH) that offers more comprehensive technical services.

After several follow-up emails, I finally obtained the Auth key necessary to unlock the domain name.

That’s when the scam by Websiteout begins...

Apparently unhappy to lose a client, this provider set up a 301 redirect to its own website from all accessible pages of my client, only visible to the Googlebot robot!

    ----------------------------
    HTTP/1.1 301 Moved Permanently
    Date: Sat, 18 Feb 2012 11:05:57 GMT
    Server: Apache/1.3.36 (Unix) mod_ssl/2.8.27 OpenSSL/0.9.7d PHP/4.4.9 SecurityModule/2.0
    Location: http://www.websiteout.fr/
    Connection: close
    Content-Type: text/html; charset=iso-8859-1
    HTTP/1.1 200 OK
    Date: Sat, 18 Feb 2012 11:06:01 GMT
    Server: Apache
    P3P: CP="DSP COR NID CURa"
    X-Powered-By: PHP/4.4.9
    Content-Type: text/html
    ----------------------------

So a "regular" visitor can normally access the site, but with the Googlebot user agent, we are redirected to www.websiteout.fr ...

They are thus benefiting from the Google Juice returned by all the backlinks from my clients’ site! This is theft!

Especially since the positioning of my clients' site has been severely impacted by this redirection!

After researching online, I found that others have had this kind of problem with Websiteout.

After several follow-up emails without response, Websiteout eventually modified the type of redirection, but it was useless because now, the redirection (still with the Googlebot user agent) directs requests to the Google.fr site...

Websiteout is a company based in Canada, but my client is ready to launch a lawsuit, as the traffic to their site has drastically decreased. This represents a significant loss of revenue.

So if you want my opinion, run away from this host who is a thief!!!

Have you ever heard of this kind of practice?

P.S.: I am ready to provide more information to anyone interested in this case!
