Connecting wii to an sfr box via wi-fi

Solved/Closed

Hello,

Hello,

I have an SFR box, the Wii recognizes the router, but I always get error code 51330. I have correctly used the connection button on the side so that during synchronization I could enter the Wi-Fi key, the IP address, gateway IP, etc. but nothing works, I always get the same error code. I tried calling SFR and the person told me to check the forums, and I tried Nintendo support but couldn't reach them by phone as all the operators were busy. I would like someone who has been in the same situation as me to tell me exactly which fields I need to fill in on the Wii and on the box because I have tried multiple different ways but nothing works. Thank you.
Configuration: Windows XP Internet Explorer 6.0

I also struggled to connect my Wii to the SFR box, so you need to search for an access point, select SFR ADSL... enter the key written underneath the SFR box with 13 characters, and once you start the connection attempt, press the button on the side of the SFR box twice quickly (without holding it down). It works perfectly. Thanks to the previous message!

Here’s how I connected a Wii in a few seconds with a SFR Neuf Box.

and no, no need

you just have to keep pressing the wifi button located on the side of the SFR box during the connection test

sorry for all the false ideas I shared, this one is the correct one because I managed to connect to the internet! once connected to the internet, you need to go to the Wii Shop Channel to get or buy channels

when I say buy, I mean Wii points are required

I'm sorry, but when I press the button on the box and I put the test, it works; you need to explain to me in more detail, please.

Is it the bright green button?

It works by staying on the Wi-Fi button, so it avoids having to buy the powerline adapter and the Nintendo cable^^

Hello everyone, I have the same problem. Before, I had the Neuf Box C2 C4 and I was able to connect right away. The Neuf Box broke down and they changed it for me. Since I've had the new Neuf Box, I can't connect anymore and I don't know what to do.

Just below your SFR modem, look for your Wi-Fi code, which is marked in parentheses (WPA-PSK). If in your settings you start by selecting that and then enter your Wi-Fi code normally, you shouldn't have any problems. (It worked perfectly for me by doing what I just mentioned). Hopefully, this will help some people =)

Hi, I'm going to receive the SFR box in a while and I have the Wii. I will ask the technician who comes to install it how it works with the Wii and the SFR box, and I will keep you updated. Good luck. By the way, does the SFR box work well? Thank you.

Hello,
I also want to connect my son's Wii to the SFR Box.
Everything is working pretty well until I need to enter the DNS servers (primary and secondary).
Error code: 52130
Actually, I can't find the SFR secondary server. I just tried randomly, but no luck.
Were you able to figure it out?

Thank you.

The SFR box works wonderfully. No complaints. But when looking on forums for connecting the Wii and the SFR box, there’s not much information. Thank you for your future help.

Sorry, but the answer given by calatapouet worked for everyone except me. My Wii is in the living room and my SFR box is in the basement. I'm asking someone to hold the Wi-Fi button on the SFR box while I do the connection test, but it doesn't work. You really need to explain to me in detail!! Thank you very much, I really want to play on Wi-Fi, you can't know how much. Thanks for the answer you will give me!!

You need to configure the SFR box on channel 11
on the Wii choose the SSID 2 SFR-ADSL-xxxxx security type WEP MTU value 1500 and press the sync button on the SFR box I just did it and it works.

Hi, check if you're on WEP because I had the same issue. I set it to WEP and not WAP. Enter your key, then press the button on the right side of your router while connecting. It worked for me, I hope it works for you too.

I entered the Wi-Fi key for the SFR box into the Wii console and then synchronized it by pressing the Wi-Fi button on the SFR box located

on the side at the top. I had to repeat the operation 5 or 6 times for it to work!!!!

I just confirm that you need to be patient, you have to try many times and eventually the connection will happen.

For the SFR box only and not Neuf SFR, you need to go to the "box configuration interface", click on "box" in the left menu, then on "wifi" (if you have a SFR box connection box that opens, the username is sfr and the password is sfr)
you will arrive at "wifi settings management", check "general wifi settings" which must be enabled and the mode selection must be "802.11g", it is thanks to this that my wi works.

Thank you so much! Thanks to you, I finally managed to get Wi-Fi on the Wii!!
I just had to press the button on the right.
Thanks. ++

I kept it simple: I reset the Wi-Fi connection settings on the Wii, then I did it again. I selected wireless, then I copied the Wi-Fi code, validated it, and it worked. Updated, and there you go. Do the same ^^

Indeed, you have to be patient; it worked for me after the 5th connection test attempt.

Hi, you all talk about the "wifi" button on the side of the SFR box, but what if I don't have it? :/ I still have the SFR box though.
