Hello, I bought my R4 Revolution for Nintendo DS Lite 3 months ago. I have absolutely no problems. But today I wanted to change the theme (or skin) of the home screen of my R4. I read everywhere that I needed to insert the 4 images required for that theme into the _system_ folder of the R4. No problem with that.
But what I would like to know is how to change themes without using the computer. (For example, can you store several complete themes in subfolders or in the _system_ folder and switch themes using the DS?

    "_You can also use up to 12 skins that will change manually or automatically,
    to switch from one skin to another, press the SELECT button in the main menu,
    in automatic mode the skins will change every month.
    To do this, place the folders containing your skins in the _system_\themes directory,
    these folders must be named as follows: theme01, theme02,...,theme12
    Note that you are not required to use 12 skins (in this case, just create as many themeXX folders as you have skins)"

    The problem is that I can transfer DS games without any issue to my microSD card
    However, I don't see any _system_ files inside, just a _ds_menu file but it doesn't open!

    So where can I put these damn skins to make them work?

    Hello,
    I have an R4, and I downloaded a menu with a skin but now I want to change it but I'm not quite sure where to place the themes in system etc...

    Where should I place my themes? What files do I create? Is this correct? etc..

      Hello, I also have the same problem as you. When I turn on the DS and press select, I get a purple or pink screen and it tells me "automatic mode." The first time I did it, it was in manual mode. How can I put it back? I’ve been working on this for 2 days. Thank you for helping me.

    Hi skins,

    I read your message and saw that you bought an R4 and when you installed it on your DS Lite you had no issues. Could you please give me the steps to follow for the installation? I bought a LINKER R4 REVOLUTION + MICRO SD 2GB for my daughter, and I followed some advice from people on the internet, but I'm getting the message "LOADING" and a black screen at the bottom of the DS, and the DS is stuck on "LOADING". I would really appreciate it if you could give me the details for the installation. Thank you so much, I'm struggling with this for 3 DAYS.

    Hi everyone, I already knew how to set a skin, but every time I turn on my DS, there is no skin and I have to press select to make it appear. I would like my skin to launch at startup on my DS. Can you help me??

    Bonjour, vous pouvez changer les skins avec la DS. Vous allumez la DS et vous appuyez sur select en dessous de start, normalement cela fonctionne car moi il est en mode automatique et en faisant une mauvaise manipulation il s'est mis en mode automatique. En mode automatique, le skin change automatiquement tous les mois. Si vous avez une solution pour moi, merci de me le dire.
