Find the IP address of a printer

Hello, could someone please help me? I can't find the address of my Canon network printer.

If you only have one local network, you install a network analysis program (like look@lan) on a workstation; it will find all the IP addresses connected to the network, and then you just have to figure out who is who.

Otherwise, if your printers have a hostname, you can ping the hostname in cmd and it will convert the hostname to an IP address.

If you have multiple local networks, you need to go to the segments where your printers are connected and do the same thing as above.

As for me, I have a Canon MP560 series and to find its IP address, I simply went to: Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Devices and Printers. Then, I selected my printer, right-clicked > Properties. Finally, in the "Web Services" tab, I found a web address that included my IP address, like 192.xxx.xx.x.xx. That's it!

You need to connect the printer via cable in order to assign it an IP address because it doesn’t have one by default.

I have an Epson Stylus SX515W printer that I would like to use in wireless Wi-Fi mode, from the PC to the printer.
I have tried everything that other forums (including this one) or websites have suggested, but none of the information has helped me, not even to find the IP address of my printer.

Go to Control Panel ---> Printers and Faxes ---> Add a printer.

Then you need to specify that the printer is on the network and not on the PC (locally) and search for the printer in the directory. If it’s on the network, it will definitely be visible.

Once the printer is found, right-click, then properties, and go to the PORT tab where you can see the printer's IP address.

just go to the bottom right, double-click on the two screens, a window will open, and click on support; there you will find the IP address of your PC.

And what if we don’t have a cable (personally, I didn’t receive one in the box)?
