My printer prints the end first

Hello, my HP Photosmart C4280 printer, which I bought 15 days ago, prints documents starting from the end, which is very unpleasant. I have to wait to see what doesn't interest me, resulting in wasted paper and ink! The same thing happens when I print a PDF book. Every day I'm wasting money, and it’s expensive. Thank you for your help.
Configuration: Windows XPInternet Explorer 7.0

Hi Himmel,

There is no point in uninstalling and reinstalling your printer because on this printer the default printing settings must print from the last page to the first page.

You have correctly selected Print from the first to the last page, but there is one setting left to check:

EDIT: When you right-click on your printer icon > Properties > Advanced, you must uncheck ENABLE ADVANCED PRINTING FEATURES.

Keep me updated

Best regards

Yes, mine does the same in the printer properties, printing from the last page to the first page.

Thank you so much for wanting to help me. I'm on the control panel, I click on the right, I go to properties, but I can't find page order; maybe it's due to the software? The seller sends me to HP with a number 082... etc., and they respond that I'm not a business, so to call a 089... etc., which is expensive! My printer is 15 days old! Thank you sincerely for your response even though the novice that I am has not succeeded.

I have the coat on my back but I want to respond, it's so nice of you to want to help me. But no, I don't have anything on the right that corresponds to what you're saying, I've tried everything, what a waste of time when it doesn't work! I've just wasted more paper and I already have no black ink left! Thank you, see you later.

When I go to properties, with "advanced" I see the choice: "from the first to the last page" or "from the last to the first page," but it doesn't change anything despite obviously choosing: from the first to the last page. I just wasted a good hour! To search in another way is frustrating, and I'm upset that HP doesn't take more care of the buyer.
This afternoon, I waited for 45 minutes at the customer service where I bought my printer, as there were 5 people in front of me, I gave up and left. I lost another half hour with the salesperson who sold me the printer and a second salesperson; neither could tell me what was going on. I don't know if returning or exchanging the printer will work.
If I could just fix it myself! And uninstall and reinstall the software, right?
It's difficult to check how it will print before actually printing. But thanks also to Marie 12687. If Ice Angel has any more ideas or someone else does, thank you, thank you; this is starting to drive me crazy!

Hello,

You know that you can reverse the printing order in two places?
On one hand at your printer level, but it seems you have the correct order there

On the other hand, at your software level, it depends on the software:
for example in Word go through the file menu / print then click on the "options.." button at the bottom left. In the "printing" tab, you will see a box 'Reverse order', which obviously should not be checked
In Acrobat Reader, go through the file menu / print; in the "printer" box, there's a 'reverse' box. It should not be checked.

What I say is true for my versions of Word and Acrobat Reader, it may differ a bit for you, but for these software as well as others, by going through the menu / printer you should find what you need.

Hi Himmel,
I don't quite understand what's annoying about your printer starting with the end because if, for example, it prints the last page first and page 1 last, it allows you to have your stack of paper in the right order to read it ready to bind, for example, when it's finished.

Anyway, I might have misunderstood, but in any case, go to your control panel:

then printers and other devices
then display printers
Then select your printer and right-click, properties
Advanced tab, and then you choose print by default
Here you choose the advanced tab, and you choose layout options or a dropdown will offer you from the first to the last page or the opposite.
You make your choice.
You click OK, then OK again, and your settings should be saved.
On occasion, you can adjust the ink quality if you want to save your ink.

Good luck

Thank you for the "reverse" tip... I was struggling with the same issue. Thank you.

Same problem, but I found the answer in the person of hubertaaz the savior...yes, it's annoying because with 3 copies...starting from the end...there's a blank page on the back of the first one...double-sided...of course!

but not like that
at the moment of printing when you click file / print there is a button with printer properties to the right of the printer name
