my backspace key is not working anymore Solved

Question

Hello,
my "backspace" key is no longer working. Since I don't have Word, I suppose that's why there's no "edit" tab under "Tools," and I can't check the box "typing replaces selection."
To delete a character, I have to place the cursor before the letter to delete and click the "Delete" key, which is not convenient!
Thank you in advance for shedding some light on my situation that really needs it!

I had the same problem in the last few days.. in options, editing options, you need to check "typing replaces selection"... and there you go!

otherwise, use the insert key to replace the word (disable it when you reach the end of the word "below" or you'll be writing over the correct text).

the function of the "backspace" key cannot be replaced by another key.
Unless you position yourself in front of the letter to be deleted and use "delete" as you mentioned.

To get your key working again, there is a very simple solution:
buy a new keyboard, it costs 5 EUR ;o)

The problem has nothing to do with a keyboard not working. Changing the keyboard gives the same result.
I have the same problem and it happened to me after I pressed a combination of keys on the keyboard (I don't know which one otherwise I wouldn't be here). I activated or rather deactivated I don't know what setting which is of course saved by default by Windows.
If anyone knows how to unblock us, please let us know the procedure to follow.

I have the same problem, I went into Word and checked the box "replace...." was checked and it was indeed the case, I unchecked it, then checked it again, it didn't do anything and I still have the same problem!
I can't see where this can be fixed!
