Export a layer to another file

Hello,
I can't copy a layer from one file to another file

Autocad 2006
Configuration: Windows XP Internet Explorer 6.0

    I don't know which version of AutoCAD you have
    For AutoCAD 2007, there's the command "'_adcenter" which opens a window with all the directories, you go to the file where you want to copy the layers, choose the layer part on the left and all the layers will be displayed, then select the ones you want to copy, right click and copy, then go to, for example, the object space of the file where you want to paste... and so with the right click paste and normally the layers transfer automatically!

    switch to the recipient layer but keep the source layer open
    then press "Ctrl e", a window opens, go to open layers, click on it and a list will appear in the right window, click on the layer, all the layers will appear in the right window, double click on the layer you want to transfer. same for presentations, references...

    but don't you just copy the layer objects with that? only the layer itself!!
    How do we take the entire layer with the objects to copy it into another file???

      But that's even simpler! You select the objects you want to copy and with the right button click on copy, then you go to the new file or the file where you want to paste and with the right button click on paste!
      That's if I understood your question correctly.

    If it's to copy all the elements of the same layer, use the quick selection filter in properties, then ctrl C and ctrl V in the new layers.
