Reading and processing a ".fic" file

Hello everyone,
I'm not sure this is the right place for this kind of question, but it seemed the most appropriate.
I received a file with a ".fic" extension from my boss. He is asking me to provide him with the tools to open it, read it, but especially to be able to retrieve data (text) to reuse and edit it in Word, for example.
Can you help me by indicating the necessary software and where to find it?

I found this utility that allows you to convert HyperFile FIC, NDX, and MMO files into XML (EXCEL) files.

Your file comes from a database, so it's better in Excel than Word...
