PENTAX OPTIO E30 H.S

Hello,
when starting a Pentax E30 option purchased in June 2007, the screen displays: Lens error: 221.0.0.0 Then it turns off. Sent to Pentax customer service who does not accept the warranty because they consider it due to impact!! They base it on small scratches on the device?? They offer me a repair that is as expensive as buying a new one! Do you find this normal, is there another solution than paying for the device a second time? Thank you
Configuration: Windows XP Internet Explorer 6.0

I have a problem with my Pentax E60. When I turn it on, I can't do anything and it shows:
lens error0x04110000
has anyone else experienced this, please?
I see that many people have problems with these cameras, could it be an issue with these devices?

Hi
I have a Pentax E30 and I have the same problem, what should I do? Lens error 221.0.0.0 and then it turns off.

I had the same problem. But I fixed it. Start the device, as soon as the zoom appears, remove 2 batteries for 1 minute, then put the batteries back in. Don't touch the zoom anymore. Good luck!!!

I just had the same problem with my Pentax Optio E40: When I turned it on, Lens Error 122.1.0.0 appeared on the screen. And since then, the zoom won't retract, whether the camera is on or off.
The "erdehu" method didn't work, so I think I'm going to have to take it in for repair, but I hope they'll accept it, because my camera is only 5 months old, and it has never fallen, plus there are no visible signs of impact...

I just had the same problem as you today with my Pentax Optio E60.

What did you do?

Should I go see my seller at Carrefour???

Hello, for all the Pentax lens error problems, it comes from the lens being stuck. Personally, instead of paying the price of the camera a second time, I kind of "helped" the lens to extend without too much force and I gave it a blast of air and it works like a charm!!!^^
Good luck

Hello,
the post is old, thank you "mums", I used a hairdryer, be careful not too close for 10 seconds and it looks like new even though I haven't used it for years.
