With VLC Media Player (using a recent version), it's nothing simpler:
- Open a file in advanced mode
- File tab, Add the file to convert
- Choose Convert in the dropdown menu next to the Play button
- In the window that appears, give a name to the destination file (e.g.: C:\test.mp3) making sure to include .mp3
- Choose in Profile: Audio mp3
- Click on Modify the selected profile (config button, to the right of the profile selection)
- In the Encapsulation method tab: choose Wav
- In the Audio tab: choose MP3, 128 kB, 2 channels, 44100Hz
- Click on Save
- Click on Start
There you go. A moment later (1 or 2 seconds for a 20 MB flv clip), it’s converted.
Easier to do than to explain.
You can also do it via command line and convert a list of files...

Hello,
You can use YouTube Downloader and the converter to help you with this.
First, download the video, then cut the audio from the video using conversion settings.
Secondly, add new sounds from this video to your Windows Movie Maker.
Here is the tool for you.

two solutions:
the easiest: record the sound you hear from the video directly to your hard drive:
here's how to do it: http://blogarchive.info/enregistrer-son-ordinateur
the more difficult:
1) you record the video on your computer (see the software mentioned in the previous message)
2) you convert your video to avi (using dr.divx (free))
3) use virtuadub to extract the sound from this video (see how to do it here: http://blogarchive.info/extraire-son-video)

Hello.
I have already replied: you can download the Audacity software for free. You learn to use it.
You choose a video, you start it, then in the following seconds you start Audacity recording.
Having learned the Audacity software well, you have the choice between several formats. Best regards, MP

Good evening,
I also use cliptomp3 but my first problem is that when I enter the video link and click on "go", "step 1" (the audio download) doesn't always work. Sometimes it gets stuck at a certain percentage and then I click on "close" and it happens again and again.
So sometimes it works suddenly, sometimes I have to repeat these steps 3 or 4 times, but sometimes much more...
Often my mp3 files are also cut off. They don't have the same duration as the video. I hit "restart" but then it goes back to "step 1" and so I have the same problem as I mentioned above...
I'm fed up because I have several audio files that I would really like to have in full... I don't know what to do?
Thank you in advance for your help.

Good evening, to answer your question which is "how to do it?" well you can simply read all the comments left and you will realize that I provided a nice link that still works without cutting the music, plus your site is cute but infested with ads which brings up pop-ups all the time and lastly, a music encoded at 64 kbps is mediocre, listen to it with headphones and you will realize that it’s rubbish.

Good evening everyone!
There is a much simpler way to do this without downloading any software except for the downloader, of course.
Once the video is loaded, open Garage Band and drop the video there. Two tracks will appear, select the video track by clicking on it. Once the video track is selected, click on TRACK at the top left and then click on delete the track, and send everything to iTunes using the Share tab.
And there you go!! Simply!

Good evening, the video in flv doesn't work in GarageBand (at least I've never succeeded). To put the video in GarageBand, I convert it to mp4 using iSquint (downloadable here: http://mac-gratuit.fr/gratuit-210.html). After that, it fits perfectly into GarageBand.

Hello,
I personally use a Firefox addon called "videotomp3". In fact, it's an addon that redirects you to a site that downloads the file.
I made a little tutorial on my personal site: http://site.utile.free.fr/?p=112
See you later

All you have to do is download your video using a free, fast, and very easy-to-use YouTube video downloader, then download Free Video Converter (also free, simple, and fast). In the conversion mode, you select "audio only," make sure it shows MP3 next to it, and then start the conversion. Very simple and effective; the only long part is the downloading ^^ and still...
