I tried, but Wine freezes. I click on the install icon choosing the Wine Windows emulator, it starts but then everything stops. Thanks for the info.

I still confirm there is no solution for the TomTom software. Please provide information when the problem is resolved. You ask for help here, but you also need to be able to explain the resolution rather than closing the post without saying anything. Thanks for the others....

Hello everyone!

I have just launched a project to create software similar to TomTom Home.
This project is still in its early stages.
On the agenda, "GPSQuickfix" update, backup and restore, and other features yet to be defined...
(depending on my programming skills...)

pyTomTom will allow you to manage your TomTom GPS on Linux.

pyTomTom is software written in Python.

This is my first software.
Please be kind and feel free to send me your constructive feedback...

Please note that the downloadable version on the site is a "less than beta" version (...alpha, actually ;p).
The interface is stripped down.
So please back up the contents of your GPS with TomTom Home before using it!
This script has only been tested with a TomTom One v4 under Ubuntu 9.10

I would therefore need as many "testers" as possible. Initially, I would like to collect useful information for each model of TomTom, so don't hesitate to contact me! No special skills are required... except knowing how to connect your TomTom to the USB port and give me the structure of certain folders.

This version currently only does GPSQuickFix updates, but I hope to implement the backup/restore function for TomTom content fairly quickly...

Hello the only solution to update a TomTom on Linux is to install Windows in a virtual machine using VirtualBox, and then install TomTom Home in the virtual Windows. It works, I guarantee you
