les PABS n'utilise pas de LAN, le LAN étant un réseau à diffusion, la téléphonie c'est du circuit (point à point)
Le protocole entre PABX peut être du QSIG (normalisé) ou du proprietaire type ABC-F (Alcatel), la voix elle est en PCM ou MIC, un IT voix = 64k.
