What software to replace PowerPoint

Hello,

Every year, following the annual trip of my class (1968 year), I create a PowerPoint with all the photos taken during the trip. I sort, format, add comments, then animate the various elements of the slides and finally I add music that I choose from my library. Of course, the music tracks relate to the theme when I find what I’m looking for! Sometimes I have to buy them on iTunes so that they match the subject. Once this animated PowerPoint with music is finished, I convert it to a video and send it to my travel companions via We Transfer or Smash.

You will have understood, it’s a long and sometimes tedious task. The slideshows often have around a hundred slides with several photos inserted and animated (the very first one had 267, but that was exceptional). It’s been almost 10 years that I’ve been making these videos, every year, and I’d like to find software that would save me some time while preserving animation and music!!!

Do you know such a marvel that would animate my photos while broadcasting appropriate music??? A free software, if possible, and above all easy to use (I remind you that I’m an elderly lady who will soon reach the fourth age).

I acknowledge I’m demanding, but I’m very behind because I didn’t create the video for 2025 and we’ve already done our 2026 trip! Consequently, I have two videos to create.

Thank you for your precious help.

Best regards

    Hello,

Here is a powerful option that works on Windows "Clipchamp"... Free if not Premium, I haven't tried it!!! but I know the problem.

Clipchamp: A video editing software based on AI with everything you could need

    Multitrack editing

Edit different elements of your videos without opening multiple apps. Multitrack editing lets you manage audio, video, and text all in one place to create a cohesive final product. Streamline the process with the AI-based automatic assembly feature that offers editing suggestions to save time and effort.

Here's another instructional video on this topic:

    Cheers

    Hello,

You might try Canva. I’ve used it before to create videos and visuals, and I find it fairly simple and easy to use.
