Whatsapp on iPhone: delete a message before it is received

Hello,

I was wondering if it is possible to delete a message sent via WhatsApp before it is received by the recipient. In other words, if the sent message still appears with a single green check mark and I delete it, will my recipient still receive it?

    Yes, the answer is yes. I tried it with someone who was right next to me and we tested it. As soon as the message is sent, it remains visible to the recipient even if the sender deletes it.
    When you want to erase it from your own phone, it's possible, but the recipient still sees it!!
