Hello,

  • I have a Tucson television model TL1904B12/2, the remote control has been lost, and the TV is stuck on M6. I bought a Grundig universal remote control and I can't get it programmed despite a tutorial on YouTube, but I noticed that the packaging was opened with a cutter at the bottom when I got home. I don't know if it's a defect in the remote control or if it's just not compatible at all. Thank you for your responses.

Hello,

This television is available for sale with its original remote control for 15 euros on a very well-known website!

I did not find the user manual for this television.

So, we still need to see if there are buttons on the television in question that allow for channel changing.

Also try unplugging the power cord.

As for the remote control, see here.

After that, it would be better to get a remote control with the same functionalities, as universal remotes do not allow for channel scanning or switching between different settings on the television.

Hello,

To complete the answer already given:

On Tucson televisions of this generation, universal remotes rarely work completely. Even when a code is recognized, only basic functions (Power, Volume) respond, and it is often impossible to change channels or access the menu.

If the TV is stuck on M6, there are 3 points to check:

01- Check if there are physical buttons on the television (often on the side or back). On some models, they allow changing channels without a remote.

02- Unplug the TV completely from the power source for 2 to 3 minutes, then plug it back in. This can sometimes reset the current state.

03- Concerning the Grundig remote: if the packaging was already opened, it might be defective, but even if it's in perfect condition, compatibility with Tucson remains very limited.

In most cases, a specific replacement remote for the model is unfortunately the only reliable solution.

Good luck, this kind of TV is not always easy to troubleshoot without the original remote.
