Unable to use the ringtones I downloaded.

Hello,

I downloaded ringtones on my Redmi A3, but when I want to select one to add to the ridiculous list of programmed ringtones on the phone, it doesn't offer me the list of my downloads (even though they are in MP3 format). Does anyone have a solution? Thank you in advance.

    Hello,

Normally, the music you want to use as ringtones should be placed in a folder called Ringtones in the main storage.

Then they will appear in the list of available ringtones (in the settings of the phone app).
Be sure to explore the entire list, both up and down.

What is well conceived is clearly stated,
And the words to say it come easily.

    Thank you for your response.

This is what I did, but apparently the Redmi A3 does not accept external ringtones, as they are indeed in the ringtones folder, but when I try to listen to them by opening this file, I get the response "empty" even though it shows 6 items on the previous page.

    Best wishes to everyone.

      Hello,

Before transferring to Ringtones, did you listen to them?

    Hello,

Since your ringtones are well recorded in the "Ringtones" folder on the internal storage but are not being recognized, go to Settings > Sounds and vibrations > Phone ringtone.

In the list of ringtones, scroll all the way down and select + Add a ringtone to add them manually.

      Good evening

Small note: on my smartphone, you have to click on a + at the top right of the ringtone screen to add a new melody (so not at the bottom of the list).

        Good evening Pierr10,

Indeed, the location varies depending on the models and manufacturers. The A3 should normally include it at the bottom of the ringtone list, unless there is an error.

Hello, thank you for your response, that's exactly what I'm doing and when I want to go to ringtone, it announces the number of ringtones it contains, but when I open ringtone to choose one it tells me EMPTY, it's a crazy story....

        Hello,

It might be a format issue.

Try converting your MP3 ringtones to WAV or OGG format.
