Hello, I have image files recovered from a damaged hard drive, files that I recovered via Wondershare. My question now is how to open them to recover the saved folders? I can't find anything on the net by myself for this, if someone knows how to do this it would help me a lot. Thanks in advance for your help and happy end-of-year holidays to everyone.

    Hello,

Could you clarify the following points?

    1) By image files, do you mean Windows system files that are an integral part of Windows or installed software as they are added over time?
    2) These files coming from a defective disk, how do you ensure their integrity, knowing that they themselves may be deteriorated, even when transferred to a new disk?
    3) The peculiarity of system files or program .exe files is that they write data and settings that cannot be transferred by simple copying; how do you plan to make them work in a new configuration?
    4) When you say to open them, does that imply doing so on another PC, and unless you analyze the sources, that will not allow you to run them?
    5) If they are personal files, to open them you must have on the new configuration software compatible with the formats used to create them, and also that the rights to the files are open to any user.

Hoping I have not misinterpreted your request, I wish you happy holidays.

Hello, these are personal files on an external hard drive that my PC can no longer open. I downloaded Wondershare to recover these files and repair them along the way. Some are corrupted, but many are still recoverable. The Wondershare software asks me to create a disk image to back up these files, except that the final format is a wsdk extension that I don’t know how to open to retrieve my files.

Thank you for your response in any case.

Thank you for your help, I can’t say if it works because the type of file I’m talking about can only be opened if you use the paid version of FileMagic, so that will have to wait a bit. Thanks anyway.
