Transfer photos from mobile phone to Windows 11 PC

For a few months, I have been in possession of a new laptop equipped with Windows 11. I used to transfer my photos from my phone to the PC via Bluetooth to maintain quality.

Surprisingly, with the new Windows 11, I haven't found how to do it in the settings... everything is preconfigured with no option for modification.

Can someone give me the secret on how to do it?

    Hello,

    First, the computer and the smartphone need to be paired.

    You can do this from the computer by going to Settings > Bluetooth & Devices > Add Device

    You can also do it from the smartphone: Settings > Connections.

    Turn on Bluetooth and click on the word Bluetooth.

    ---------------------------

    To transfer:

    1) Select the photos on the smartphone.

    Click Share and then on the Bluetooth icon. The computer should appear in the list of available devices.

    2) On the computer, click on the Bluetooth icon located on the right side of the taskbar (it may be in the hidden icons).
    Then click on Receive a File. The computer is now waiting to receive.

    3) Go back to the smartphone screen and click on the name of the computer to start the transfer.

    This is a simple and sufficient method for small transfers. But if you have a lot of photos and therefore a large volume of data to transfer, it's better to use a cable or Wi-Fi connection.

    Thank you very much for this response! It's clear and precise, and I was able to connect the two devices and transfer the first photo.
    I must admit, though, that it was too well hidden for my old brain... :-)
