Hello,

I have an MSI PC from 2019 that was running on Windows 10 and Chrome. I switched to Windows 11 several months ago without any issues, and one day, it was impossible to connect to the internet: no possibility of a secure connection (ERR_SSL_PROTOCOL_ERROR or incompatible version, etc.). After doing extensive research and spending many hours trying to clear caches and flush SSL. I am using my work PC to try to find solutions, particularly with AI: non-exhaustive examples of attempts:

Clear the SSL cache and browsing data

 Disable extensions and VPN

Check SSL/TLS settings

Reset network settings

Change DNS settings

Disable QUIC (Chrome/Edge)

Check the Hosts file

I have over 120 pages of attempts with AI without success. I eventually reinstalled Windows 10 to be able to function and connect to the internet without problems. Since yesterday, I had to reactivate Windows updates to try to benefit from the ESU, and Windows 11 was reinstalled without asking for my opinion, putting me back to square one... :-( Is there any way to stay on Windows 10?

Do you have any solutions for me?

Thank you for your help.

    Hello,

on a a new/clean installation, there’s no getting lost in the options. First, is the connection wired or wireless? If it’s Wi-Fi, are you properly connected to the network?

Are the drivers for the network card properly installed? To check that, you can go to the Device Manager:

    Win + X
    > Device Manager
    > Network Adapter

Does it appear there? Are there any yellow exclamation points?

    Hello everyone,
Thank you for your feedback. With the help of AI and my work PC, I reinstalled Windows 11 in version 23H2 and blocked Windows updates, and it works. :-)
