Hello,

In order to meet the necessary conditions for migrating from W10 to W11, I attempted to switch the boot mode from "legacy" to "UEFI" on my Dell PC.

Now, W10 won't start except in safe mode.

How can I resolve this issue?

If someone can help me, I would be grateful.

Best regards

      Hello,

      I'm a donkey!

I wanted to make it easier to switch from W10 to W11 by following the method here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kgZuVSxVTi8.

But at the end of the installation, I'm faced with an error message on a black screen: "A disk read error occurred - Press Ctrl+Alt+Del to restart."

I did the manipulation but nothing happens.

I turned off the PC using the "Power" button, and the same message appeared.

I changed my wireless keyboard for a wired one connected to the "Keyboard" port with no effect.

      So my PC is stuck.

Do you have any idea what I should do? I should mention that it's a Dell and I'm contacting you from another laptop.

      Thank you in advance,

      Best regards,

    Hello

Try switching the BIOS to UEFI, maybe this time it will boot in UEFI.

    Hello,

Well, I think you're going to have to install Windows 11 from scratch.

If you want to check the status of your partitions, use a liveUSB Hiren's Boot CD.

    Hello,

Thank you all for your responses.

It ended up with a professional repairer who has a storefront and who did it very well.

Clearly, I wasn't up to the task!

    Best regards,
