Conditional formatting

Hello,

I'm stuck on my table where I want to prompt the people filling it out.

Let me explain: I want to color a cell if another one is filled (I managed that) while keeping the text input open in that colored cell.

In summary, I want to make it mandatory to enter data in one cell when another cell is filled.

And if possible, remove the color when the cell contains text.

Is that possible?

Thank you for your feedback.

    Hello,

Suppose F3 should be filled when H3 is filled. In F3, create a conditional formatting rule with the formula:

    =AND(F3="";H3<>"")

      Thank you, it's working.

I just had to swap the cells in the formula.

Thank you for this quick and effective response.

    Hello,

    More details would be helpful.

Everything is possible as long as we can see the table so that we can respond.

You choose one of the hosts from this list.

You create a download link that you copy and paste into your response.

    Sincerely
