Hello,
until a few days ago, I could download YouTube videos for free with Realplayer downloader on my PC using Edge.
Now, that's no longer possible, the downloads seem to be blocked.
Questions:
- is anyone aware of this recent change?
- are there any other solutions? without going through YouTube Premium?
and that work today
I did some research (there are dozens of possibilities!!) but I couldn't find any solutions that work

After reading your message, I tried downloading with 4K Video Downloader +, which I usually use.
I didn't see any issues. The downloads are working fine.

Just copy the video link from YT and paste it into 4K Video Downloader.

Indeed, it works well and it's simple. It's a trial version that allows only 10 downloads per day, so it's not completely free (I am demanding), but it should be enough for me. Perhaps I will have other solutions later.

The positive point of this software is that you can download in high definition without ads.
The limit of 10 downloads per day is not very restrictive, especially since the size of the videos is not taken into account.
If you plan to upgrade to a paid version, the most interesting one is the pro version which allows multilingual downloading.
