"c" key triggered on double click or selection

Hello,

I currently have a problem where whenever I double-click anywhere or select text, the letter "c" activates as if I had typed it on my keyboard.

It should be noted that the problem only occurs when I am connected with a VPN on a remote PC. On my local PC, there are no issues, so it seems there is no problem with my keyboard or mouse.

There is also no object or anything pressing on the keyboard of the remote PC.

Do you know where this might be coming from? A shortcut or an option activated?

Thank you in advance.

    Hello,

I found your problem, we struggled with it but it was due to an update of the free TRIO OFFICE application.

We had to completely close the application to stop the bug.

I don't know if there will be a fix from TRIO OFFICE or if it's worth installing an older version, which would be wise if they don't do anything...

It may not be the same software for you, but I recommend you investigate in that direction with your software and updates, and if nothing comes back you might want to reset your PC with a restore point from before September 12.

    Good luck,

    Hello

I am worried; if you don't understand how your computer connected remotely via VPN to another PC works, there's a security issue, so don't use the remote connection to another PC.

Sorry, it's the only logical thing I can think of to answer this question.

Please read the well-made explanations by professionals on Windows and VPNs everywhere. There are software installed on both machines, after all.

Hello, I have exactly the same problem. It happens when I double-click with the left mouse button; when I hold down the left click, it occurs just the same way when I swap the left and right clicks in the settings, so it's not the left click but the right click that's the issue. The bug doesn't change even if I increase or decrease the speed of the double click. I checked with my mouse software and it's not coming from there. I disabled all my mouse-related software in the Task Manager but the bug persists.

I don't see any solution but I found this forum that has exactly the same problem, but I don't have TRIO OFFICE.

On top of that, I can add that I’m on Windows 11 and due to a driver bug, I couldn't update for a year (I finally have this update but my click problem still activates the C key), but the problem still persists.

    Please, can someone help me?
