Good evening everyone,

the famous "Command Z" does not work on my InDesign (from Creative Cloud 2025). As a result, when I make a mistake, I have to start all over again.

What is the solution?

Thank you very much ;)

Hello,

If you have installed the Webpublication plug-in, it may be responsible for this inconvenience.

Uninstall it or delete it if installed.

Reset the preferences if you are on Mac, quit InDesign and then relaunch it while holding Shift + Option + Command + Control until a message prompts you to delete the preferences.

Agree as this may resolve the issue.

It may also be a conflict with the metadata.

If you see "Undo Edit Metadata" in the Edit menu, it may be related to document info or an image modified in Photoshop.

Some have worked around the bug by re-saving the image or exporting the InDesign file in DML format.

By starting your Mac in safe mode and then opening only InDesign.

If Command Z works in this mode, it’s probably a conflict with another application or antivirus.

Have a good day.
