    Hello

it was in 2010. "it's true but you shouldn't believe the sellers, they will never tell you that what they are selling is not good." The conclusion is still valid! Thank you Scarface 72

So yes, but 15 years later we aren't really sure why, and finding drivers... it's rare to find a 7 64 bits, from that time in its original laptop, if he doesn't go online too much it will soon be a collector's item.

    Hello to you too,

Windows 10 and 11 are too heavy, it's necessary to choose a lightweight distribution of Linux.

      Hello,

It's an antique, but it's probably not the hardware that's preventing the installation of Windows 10; otherwise, 4 GB of RAM and a mechanical hard drive would cause a barely bearable slowness unless the computer is confined to simple tasks and the startup (or more accurately, the non-startup) of all non-essential services is optimized.

It’s probably something simpler: there is a chance it might be impossible to find Windows 10 drivers.

    Hello,

My computer was old school and definitely not compatible for the upgrade... But I went ahead and did it today — I'm now on Windows 11!

      Hello,

It all depends on what we mean by old school; here, given what is presented to us with a really very old machine, even just 4 GB of RAM will pose a problem and make the machine unusable even if we manage to install Windows 11 and find drivers for it.
